We're Headed Back to Cambodia — With Addie!

One of the most meaningful experiences of my life has been traveling to Cambodia to help build homes for families in need through Volunteer Building Cambodia. This year, we’re doing it again — but with a very special twist.

We just booked our tickets for November, and this time, we’re bringing our oldest daughter Addie, who is 11 years old. It’s been a dream of mine to share this experience with my girls, and Addie is the first to step into this journey of service, sweat, and joy. My husband Andy will be joining again, and this year, my amazing mom Linda is coming along too — making it a three-generation trip!

Together, we’ll spend five days building a safe, sturdy home for a local family who has been living in extremely vulnerable conditions. After completing the build, we’ll finish with one of the most beautiful and emotional moments of the entire trip: the house blessing ceremony. It's a time of deep gratitude, prayer, and community celebration — and it’s a reminder of how much can change in just a few days when people come together in love.

Addie has such a big heart, and I know this experience will open her eyes in a whole new way. We’re excited (and a little nervous!), but mostly just honored to be part of something bigger than ourselves.

Stay tuned for updates — we’ll be sharing the journey from the first nail to the final blessing.

If you’ve ever considered volunteering or supporting this cause, reach out! We'd love to talk about how you can be involved.

With love,
Rachael
